Once  Completed & Passed This qualification allows the Successful Participant to be safe in their understanding of being able to operate as a Close Protection Operative 

The Close Protection Operative 14 Day Training Course is for learners who work in, or who want to work in the private security industry as a close protection operative.

It gives learners the opportunity to:

• Develop knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to become a close protection operative such as planning, preparing for a close protection operation including risk assessment.
• Develop skills in conflict management and their abilities in managing and resolving conflict in the context of the role of a Close Protection Operative
• Learn about the legislative framework within which the close protection industry operates; team roles, personal security, and the attributes required, including the importance of team working and interpersonal skills
• Achieve A working knowledge of operating as a Close Protection Operative 
• Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning.

Certificate Units:

The Training is Divided into Three Units with Specific Guided Learning Hours (GLH)

Guided learning hours are the times when a tutor, trainer or facilitator is present to give specific guidance towards the learning aim for a programme. This definition covers lectures, tutorials and supervised study

1. Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry (56 GLH)
2. Planning, Preparing and Supporting a Close Protection Operation (76 GLH)
3. Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry (8 GLH)

Assessment:

• Unit 1 - Centre Devised Assessments (Theory & Practicals)
• Unit 2 - Centre Devised Assessments (Theory & Practicals)
• Unit 3 - Centre Devised Assessment: Paper-Based Test

First Aid Training Can be Provided as Part of The Training Package if Required

Medic Fees: First Aid (Tactical) Course - €750
